Pillar 06 · Transmit

Life is tasted with another, and passed on.

Choosing what deserves to be lived again, shared, and passed on.

Transmit is the pillar of pleasure and of stepping outside yourself. The first five pillars sustain life within you; the sixth savors it with another, and carries it beyond you.

It recognizes the sacred dimension of reproduction and of fully conscious union with another. It takes in the possible transmission of life, of its impulse and of its genetic inheritance. It also names our capacity to consciously reproduce what deserves to continue: our desires, our successes, the days that please us, our gestures, our values, and the experiences that nourish life.

What do I choose to bring to life again, and to pass on beyond myself?

Transmitting also means giving to another, bringing something to birth in them, and letting a part of life carry on beyond yourself. The intention holds in one sentence: stepping outside yourself, through shared pleasure today and through transmission tomorrow.

This pillar is never reducible to parenthood, to procreation, or to sexuality. Someone who does not wish to have children, or cannot, can inhabit it fully.

The Body

Touch, intimacy, conscious pleasure, sexuality, chosen and consented union, biological reproduction, the transmission of genetic inheritance, and the capacity to receive as much as to give within a relationship.

The Mind

Observing what we reproduce in our existence, and one essential distinction: we can automatically reproduce our wounds, our conditioning and our patterns; we can also consciously choose to reproduce what nourishes life.

  • Renewing a desire, a success, or a fertile experience.
  • Identifying the conditions that make a day satisfying.
  • Deliberately reproducing the habits, relationships and environments that make you grow.
  • Passing on what you have learned and lived.

The Soul

The sacred dimension of union with another, the transmission of your impulse, your presence and your attention, that of love, of values and of experience. What we bring to birth or help grow in another, the continuity of life beyond the individual, and the trace we choose to leave.

This existential and spiritual reading belongs to the method’s own framework. It describes no biological mechanism and does not constitute a scientifically demonstrated claim: individual desires, successes and learnings are not transmitted genetically.

One pillar, three readings

These three planes look at the same movement, with no hierarchy between them. Shared pleasure on the plane of the Body, the conscious reproduction of what makes us grow on the plane of the Mind, the transmission of what exceeds the individual on the plane of the Soul: three expressions of one same stepping outside oneself.

That is why this pillar escapes every reduction. It comes down neither to sexuality, nor to parenthood, nor to social ties. Understand the three planes of reading →

Signs the pillar is asking for attention

  • Days that resemble one another without a single one of them having been chosen.
  • The sense of repeating patterns rather than reproducing what does you good.
  • Bonds growing thinner, a difficulty in receiving.
  • The impression that nothing alive passes from you toward others.

Three levers to begin

  • Body · Create a moment of conscious, shared pleasure, freely chosen and fitted to the relationship.
  • Mind · Choose a day, an experience or a recent success that pleased you. Identify one condition that made it possible, and deliberately reproduce it this week.
  • Soul · Pass on something alive today: a piece of knowledge, an encouragement, a value, a creation, an attention, or a gesture that can carry on in another.
And for you?
Your pillar to explore, in 60 seconds.

The discovery test takes 60 seconds: seven questions, your reading at the end of them, and the link in your chain that asks for your attention first. What you pass on will tell part of the story. The test will tell the rest.

In the chain of the seven pillars. Transmit comes after Rest and precedes Rise. Under the hypothesis the method proposes, a weakened pillar upstream can weigh on the ones that follow: several factors may interact, and the Written Assessment is the tool built to read them.
